What we do
Advisory to Implement Technology in Elections
We provide a technical advisory for Election Management Bodies, Legislatures, Civil Society Organizations and government officials at all levels in the design and implementation of projects and public policy related to elections. This is why we developed Advisory to Implement Technology in Elections, to provide a complete advisory service in structural, normative and procedural aspects during the application of new technologies to electoral processes.
Certification of Election Integrity for Social Organizations
We design and execute audits and control programs for electoral processes in any of their phases, such as registration, registration of candidacies, voter identification, election day, vote counting, reform projects and implementation of voting instruments. The organization provides a flexible module for Diagnosis, Design, Implementation, Accompaniment and Certification of Election Integrity for Social Organizations, for those civil society organizations committed to the democratization of their directives and structures.
Electoral observation has become a fundamental pillar to guarantee the integrity of the elections. Although the first experiences go back as far as the beginning of the mid-19th century, they have really been professionalized since the 1990s. According to the Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation (2005), this work is about “the systematic, complete and accurate collection of information about the laws, processes and institutions related to the administration of elections and other relevant factors to the general electoral context; the impartial and professional analysis of said information, and the drawing of conclusions about the nature of the electoral processes based on the highest criteria in terms of information accuracy and analysis impartiality.” Throughout its history, Transparencia Electoral has been applying a methodology for election observation based on the most up-to-date international criteria in order to offer a broad and comprehensive perspective of the electoral processes in the region.
Transparencia Electoral dedicates most of its resources to research tasks developed by a team made up of academics, researchers and consultants who are in charge of designing projects that address electoral issues in the Americas. Our research consultants periodically carries out studies that are printed and published through our website and social networks, and whose results are of interest to specialists in electoral matters, electoral authorities, researchers, journalists and the general public.
